yet another year had passed, 2011 was way too awesome i must say.

Stepping into ocs was like a dream, a nightmare to be exact. That 9months of training was never to be easy, but then again, thanks to awesome peeps that came along in my life brought me through.

For those whom know me well, i dont just call you bro just like that, must be that something between us that make our r/s that special to name you one. :D

im very glad that i've made a few more bros in this year, all thanks to them, 2011 was filled with all the memories.

not forgetting Charlie 82/11 FIRST PLATOON! (although some i wished that never knew you at all, HAHA)

2011, a year that made me think alot. The journey of thoughts was like never ending, guess it just me growing up becoming more matured and starting to think of stuffs that might never came across till then. although my lovelife for this year wasnt really smooth but i believe it will be better the nxt! hahaa! (or maybe im just too picky.. hmmm)

People always mention that friends comes & goes but for me, i believe those whom i've made will never be under that CAT but then again, truths are always otherwise. Although so, i must say that maybe its just that 1%. well, dont bother about it then.

Really glad that my bros & besties, shuicheng, edmund, marcus , baoying, shekhuay, pris are all doing well in their lifes and except me & marc, the rest are all happily lovely dovey with their pairs... (whens our turn marc!) goodluck in your studies / careers & everything all!!

Once again, my that bunch of immature brothers.. HAHA. finally our dear hanzhichou got his lovely pair and glad that im gonna spend my last mins & seconds with you guys.. :D

Been 1month and exactly 15days since we commissioned.

Being part from those brothers of mine, i kinda really miss them alot.

Everytime walking down that corridor of ours,

memories just flow back,

naked bodies running ard,

non-stop shouting here and there,

music blasting along that small little space of ours.

But reality strikes, its empty once agn. only having me and my lonely footsteps..

Being sick for like almost a month, hospitalization was quite a big huu-har actually.

Days inside was quite a miserable period, having restricted movements and also confined in that little uncomfortable space.

But at that period of time, i've come to realise hw vulnerable life can be.

How important health is

How important family & friends play that role in supporting you in every simple way.

Back to the point, cherish every little thing & everybody around you.

Appreciate every happenings, its there for a reason

After some thoughts and concrete evidence, im a very negative and emo person.

its concluded! i needa have a change, changing my thinking to be more optimistic and not so pessimistic.

e.g) Is the glass half empty or half full? The pessimist would pick half empty, while the optimist would choose half full.

1.Stay away from “all-or-nothing” thinking.

When we slip into “all-or-nothing” thinking we see our circumstances as either black or white with not much in between. By shifting to someplace in the gray, a fresh perspective is created that helps us to realize more options do exist.

To lead an emotionally healthy life we need to have balanced emotions. Words like: always, never, impossible, terrible and perfect, are rigid and allow little room for interpretation or flexibility. Instead, when we live somewhere in the middle then we are in a better position to find sturdier footing which will lead to improved balance.

Look for the gray in these statements:

I can be an intelligent person and still do something stupid.

I can love my wife and still be angry with her sometimes.

There are parts of my life I enjoy and there are parts of my life that create stress.

My children bring me joy and they sometimes drive me crazy.

The most important word in each sentence is and. The word and suggests a balance; it paints a shade of gray in our lives.

2.Avoid the temptation to over generalize.

Overgeneralization is best characterized when we believe if one bad thing happens, then everything else is doomed to go poorly.

Think of over generalized statements as exaggerations. For example, “You never listen to me. He always interrupts me. She always thinks she’s right. Everybody thinks I’m stupid.”

The biggest overgeneralization red flags are words likenever, always, should or everybody. Understand an over generalized statement is another form of a negative thought. Re-think your words and reconsider the circumstance. Attempt to find something positive.

For example, the over generalized statement of “You never listen to me.” Can be reframed to, “There have been times in the past when you were very attentive and I felt as though you heard me. At this moment, however, I’m experiencing you as not being interested in what I have to say.”

The second statement is more truthful and less exaggerated. As a result, a more positive outcome can be expected.

3.Would you rather be right or happy?

I can be very stubborn. At times my stubbornness has cost me. It has caused me to miss the opportunity to accept an apology or consider a different point-of-view. I was more determined to be right than to be happy.

The need to be right cultivates more negative thoughts because of our unwillingness to let go of whatever the issue was in the first place. To find some peace and happiness, sometimes we just need to let it go.

4.Change your mental filter.

Persistent pessimism can develop into a habit if we are not careful. Left unattended, chronic negative thinking can begin to shape the way we see the world. The glass will always be half-empty, for example.

We can begin to change our mental filter by allowing positive thoughts to sift through it too. Try to see the good in every circumstance. A long line at the grocery store is a wonderful opportunity to chat with your partner or child; a stressful time at work will give you a better chance to realize the inner strength you possess; and the world’s current economy is a great time to get back to developing and maintaining a budget for your personal expenses.

The adage, “When God hands you lemons; make lemonade,” is the perfect reminder to be aware of the mental filter we use and the importance to transform it from a negative one to something more positive.

5.Watch your tendency for jumping to conclusions.

When confronted with what might appear to be an unwelcomed circumstance, consider taking a deep breath; a full step back, to look at the event at a more holistic level in order to get all of the information.

In my house, Mary Beth and I have an expression we use with our children: “What’s the rest of the story?” When they come home with a failing grade and begin to blame the teacher, we ask, “What’s the rest of the story?”

Often times we learn there was little effort put into studying or there was missing work that contributed to the poor grade. The point is we don’t take much at face value until we seek a better understanding of really what’s happening.

Even with more serious issues, my wife and I have find by falling back to this question provides us with a better opportunity to see the whole picture. This additional information is invaluable when it comes to how we react and respond.

By asking, “What’s the rest of the story,” we are in a better position to monitor our negative thoughts and keep them from trumping what is really going on. The clarity we gain empowers us to have a more rational and positive reaction.

6.Don’t should on yourself.

When we should on ourselves we are issuing negative judgments about our actions and behaviors.

Consider the following statements: “I should be a better parent; I should be making more money, and I should be happier.”

These should statements suggest our current status is not good enough. These thoughts are negative and prevent us from seeing what is positive. Should statements put our thoughts and attitudes in a box and constrain us from seeing other solutions. Remember, it’s a matter of balance.

We can be a good parent without having to be a perfect parent; we can provide for our families, financially, and still possess the desire to earn more; and we can be happy with all we have and continue to look for ways to bring more happiness into our lives.

7.Be aware of emotional reasoning.

Not many of us are like the character Spock from Star Trek who is consistently logical and rational no matter the circumstance. Even though we often have a rational response to a difficult event, we also have a tendency to slip into emotional reasoning when confronted with an especially challenging situation.

A good example of emotional reasoning goes something like, “I feel shame therefore I must be a bad person.” On the contrary, there are many very good people who feel shame – like all of us.

Just because we are experiencing a certain uncomfortable emotion doesn’t mean our character, our soul, has been downgraded. It just means for that moment, in that small space of time, we feel a certain way about ourselves.

When we allow ourselves to be human and give our spirit the grace and mercy it deserves, we are in a better position to reframe self-limiting thoughts and keep them from manifesting to the point they begin to define who we are.

8.Try not to take everything personally.

It may be hard to hear, but not everything is about you and not everything is about me, either. Fear, paranoia and perhaps a measure of insecurity can lead us to believe the way other people react, or the things they say, are directed to us. Sometimes people are insensitive, judgmental or just plain in a bad mood.

One of my biggest challenges is when a person makes a negative comment about one of my projects, is to keep my temptation in check and not internalize the comment. What I often hear is I’m not good or effective – not the project.

What I hear is also rooted in old, negative tapes playing my head. My task, then, is to replace these old tapes with newer, more positive ones that suggests I’m capable, well-meaning and successful regardless of what someone might say.

9.Dial back from magnifying a problem.

There is perception and then there is reality. Our negative thoughts start to churn when we confuse the two.

Seeing a situation for what it really is, instead of what it feels like can help us stay grounded. Magnifying a problem only gives the problem more energy and provides the opportunity for the situation to become larger than it was ever intended to be.

My wife and I have been challenged by some of the recent decisions our younger son has made. While Andrew is a moral and well-intentioned young man, like any 17-year-old, he has been making some questionable choices. Rather than assuming our son is heading down an irreversible path, our approach has been to increase our communication with him and offer a dose of empathy and support as well as some needed direction.

The results have been productive – especially for Andrew. Mary Beth and I elected to focus on the positive aspects of our son. We addressed the problem with the intensity it deserved and did not allow our anger or fear to guide us.

Not that we do everything right with our children (trust me, we have made plenty of mistakes), but in this situation we made the conscious decision to deal with the facts and not allow our negative thoughts or emotions to get in the way.

10.Celebrate.

Celebrate the good things when they happen. Don’t simply dismiss them or minimize them.

There is no question some days have a few setbacks, a couple of obstacles and sometimes pain. There are even some days when we feel as though someone has emptied our hearts of the passion and strength we need for life. So, on the days we are blessed and have positive things happen, no matter how small and insignificant they may seem, allow yourself the time to enjoy them and then be filled back up by them.

in maths, its negative + negative = positive, but in life, things may not be as that.

First overseas training in a week, been having a negative thinking all the well about it. shall just face it with a positive mind. JCC here i come!

Title: Journey ahead

Journey ahead will never be smooth but its the rocky surfaces that we face challenges with makes the journey a memorable one isn't it?

It isn't just about looking forward to the day we stand tall and proud upon our parents at the parade square throwing our pit caps but its more about the journey we have and experience here, the values and knowledge we gain and develop in our character and personalities that is the true means of why we are here, as leaders to be, leaders to lead to excel to overcome. STRIVE ON!

LAST DAY.

of ocs? nahs, its just last day of BLOCK LEAVE.

Days in ocs looks to get better, but actually its just the same old cycle and the highest peak is coming real soon. Question marks all on our mind about the Brunei adventure, hearing tales and experiences make it 200% more exciting and also afraid. But never fear failure, have the faith guys.(though i think i needed it more.. haha!)

Cant really talk much about whats happening inside as the internet is a not an open space for rants as it might be OBSERVED! we have been warned about social networks/medias. damit i feel its crap anyw.

Elder bro went over Vietnam to venture for his career, sent him over to the airport and just hate that separation feeling. Had the same feelings when i sent 2nd bro the other time when he was about to venture to shanghai but eventually came back. HAHA!

Guess separations are just normal, leaving poly friends, meeting BMT mates, leaving them, knowing OCS mates, separated a few times due to vocations and eventually left with what we have now, first platoon (though i dont feel the belongingness)

I've already lost count on what week im at but its about half way if im not wrong. Strive on then, wouldn't it be a pity if we're out now? But always be prepared as we'll never know whats coming.

Lesson 1: Naked Wife

A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, “I’ll give you $800 to drop that towel.” After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob.

Moral of the story:

If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2

A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out. The Genie says, “I’ll give each of you just one wish” “Me first! Me first!” says the administration clerk. “I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.” Poof! She’s gone. “Me next! Me next!” says the sales rep. “I want to be in Hawaii,relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.” Poof! He’s gone. “OK, you’re up,” the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch.”

Moral of the story: Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 3

A priest offered a lift to a Nun. She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg. The priest nearly had an accident. After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg. The nun said,”Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest removed his hand. But,changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again. The nun once again said, “Father, remember Psalm 129?” The priest apologized “Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.” Arriving at the convent, the nun went on her way. On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, “Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.”

Moral of the story: If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 4

A crow was sitting on a tree, doing nothing all day. A rabbit asked him,”Can I also sit like you and do nothing all day long?” The crow answered: “Sure, why not.” So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the crow, and rested.

A fox jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story: To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very high up.

Lesson 5: Power of Charisma

A turkey was chatting with a bull “I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree,” sighed the turkey, but I haven’t got the energy.” “Well, why don’t you nibble on my droppings?” replied the bull. “They’re packed with nutrients.” The turkey pecked at a lump of dung and found that it gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, there he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Moral of the story: Bullshit might get you to the top, but it wont keep you there.

Lesson 6

A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field. While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Moral of the story:

1. Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy

2. Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend

3. And when you’re in deep shit, it’s best to keep your mouth shut!

Digging throughout the night wasn't a fun experience,

im sure the rest of my mates had that exact same thinking too. haa!

Last major exercise in service term, whats left are just Rhino, 24km & social night? haaa

Rhino is gonna be a exciting experience as its platoon live firing! hope everything will go well.. and for the 24km, hope no blisters! had like dozens of them while was being turned out for a 16km..

social night? initial date couldnt make it and thus got someone else to be my date. hope its gonna be a fun night?

certainly things in ocs looks to get better, except for my buddy. totally fucked up, nthing to comment abt. lols..

ahhh, booking in back 'home' and its gonna be a long weekk.. commissioning parade for the seniors this coming sat, kudos to them! they had gone thru the hell of 9months and finally getting the rank upon their chest, *salutes*

almost a month since anything was posted on this space. Nthing much to reflect about as daily issues are just related to army. Being in this course, already prepared and determine to sacrifice my time as its like a full 9months daily in camp thing! Sat noon bookouts & sun night book-in, maybe some days are slightly luckier.

Days in there are much of a learning journey, too much to be taught and absorb into our head. Military aspects and much more about life and reacting to situations in different scenarios, thinking process are never ending, maybe thats why we are called officers. With many things in consideration, looking at the overall picture may seems easy but only the ones really handling it knows the answer.

Looking at those appointment holders, looking lost most of the time just shows how prepared are they for the appointment they hold. But true enough some are really outstanding with just a glance at how they handle situations. Am i good enough for any appointments given to me? The answer would be a yes but how well would I excel would be another question.

Time is always a factor in life, but wasting it is always a human nature. Why so contridicting?

Guess i had changed over this 2 months, thinking more in depth rather then only the surface stuffs like in the past.

When there is nthing much we can request and expect, simple things such as lying down resting on our beds and even having that ice water seems to be a joy to be called for. -CHERISH.

simple things, we tend to overlook them as we deem it being 'it should be like that' rather than cherishing it.

To end off, a new formula in circulating ard my life right now..

spot the differences? specs will defend Singapore with their lifes when in times of war, but during peace time, they just gonna train abit slack alot! :(

whereas as officers, "dedicate my life" which means either peactime or war, our lifes are already dedicated to Singapore and even being only a cadet now, i have to be in camp daily for 9monthss! ohmy, lots of motivation and determination needed! hahahah! gonna spend more time here than at home already.

Finally 3 more days to end of confinement week, its very torturing in the sense that im now located at jurong but i cant go home for weeks. that feeling really sucks esp when friends from everywhere are going home on the 5th day itself. zz.

'Never compare thus you wont knw wad shit you're into' but that only worked for the first week and after that, its all mind-fking that its gonna be over, over sooon~

my recent favourite toy..!

have been playing snooker very often for the past few weeks when i cant play soccer.

its like at least 5visits per week to snooker zone? kinda expensive sports uh.. ahhas.

being lets say 5sessions/week, i shd be playing like quite a pro alr. BUT, as usual, the inconsistent me is being pro at times and noob most of the times. :(

now i gonna really train up my Vision, Tactic, Technique, Stance, Confidence, Cue-ing, Mindset & the list goes on and on to become a better snooker player!

but still, soccer is still the #1 sports/hobby for me!

ohmans, ireally miss playing soccer! been weeks since i had the moments of it.

physical level is at a hell low nw!

crappsss. gonna train a little bit harder when my ankle get better.

Wolves are ending our season alr & we're dropping points.

NYP - Graduation ceremony for SIT - Engineering Informatics (19 May 2010)

current time : 2.39am

in few hours later, i will be having my graduation ceremony in the auditorium!

its gonna be great to see everyone there (NYP) again, for the last time, as a nyp student.. till i receive the diploma certification.

thinking abt the road to this day wasnt easy, in fact it was tough.

having to struggle during the first year in my course, failing 1 paper and luckily passed the subpaper made me tell myself, telling myself that this wouldn't happen again.

met a good mentor, made my IT brain alot better, started scoring well in my studies back again..

as usual, the word in me is always.. 懒

not studying for quizes, test, not doing homeworks and stuffs.

but having abit 小聪明的我, of course wont have much problems handling those stuffs.. :x

Able to graduate, the person i would like to thank would be my papa!

If not for him, i wouldn't even have the money for poly..

25th Feb 2010, the day that I will unofficially graduate from NANYANG POLY ; Diploma in Engineering Informatics!

Time really flies, its like not long ago when i just entered nyp. Lets have some look backs in my course of study in these 3 years!

Poly life starts with FMO 07..

Came to school like some guudoos, queued to reg for myself. Gave me some class number and in the end i went to queue up in some other classes. Fatin & Siti were the first peeps that i talked to in NYP i guess? which turns out they are in my graduating class too. haa.

Went thru 3 days of orientations, got to know my classmates.. and the poly life starts..

Year 1 sem 1 was kinda hell for us! Imagine all those codes that you never see be4 and lectures starts bombin youu with Console.Writeline.. i still can rem most of my classmates personal msg in msn were all linking to that. o.O

But the total disaster came not long after completing my first exam, somehow failed networking! had sub-paper and luckily passed. phew~

Move on to sem 2, where C# really gets to be your best friend in poly.. Still rem every tues or thurs, me oliver seng raymond will get ourselves packed food and have it at blk M.. those days were relaxing.. ^^

Ended yr1 sem 2 with much ease i guess? buut of course the results wasnt that great afterall..

Joined SIT club as OGL during the holidays, got to know hell lots of people. Became like i know the whole world in SIT when im walking ard blk L? haha. had great & fun time with all of them! shall somehow org a outing/lunch someday? lol

Year2 started off well.. Had a great lecturer for our programming classes, i must say he was the one who changed my poly life somehow and made me feel that programming can be very satisfying. Mr Koh CC, a great lecturer who also taught us with alot of knowledge on ways of life.. hahas. Ended the sem with a flying boost in my result, had GPA 3.3 for that sem itself & got myself first ever 'Distinction grade!

Yr2 sem2, started to get close with weiqi, stan & rest.. always have lots of laughter when all of us are tgt.. especially when u hear qi's laughter. lols~ "irritating leh you~"

Had another funny teacher, Mr Brandon Ng. At first, i find him kinda gay? then forever rushing off even when lessons havnt ends.. haha. and always asking those faster ones who finishes his practicals to teach the others who havnt.. -.- but then, quite enjoy his teaching ba i guess? :D

for that sem, result improved again! hoho, 3.4 GPA that time round..

FINAL year had started... FYP + IPP for my sem1.. fyp was quite a blast i must say? Went to the lecture hall for briefing.. got to know my teammates, lucky i had stanley and guohao! woots.

FYP was considered the best days in poly life i must say.. relax only.. everything OTOT for my grp.. After 5weeks in the fypj labs, flew over to BITC @ beijing with 42 odd random peeps that turn out to let the trip a memorable one. :D

finished the fyp proj, had final presentation, got informed that we are goin for the distinction presentation. I wouldnt forget those smiles we 3 had on our face that day. :D

got thru the distinction ppt, and had my Distinction! dammm super happy.

IPP was next, working over at Pantrade was quite a blessing? Heard lots of friends complaining abt their company and stuffs. When myself never face any with my company, great environment and ppl ? i guess so.

Just did a simple web for them and helping them out in stuffs everywhere, quite enjoy working there.. 3 months passed, left the company. Had a good reflection on my ipp report and got myself a A'

Year3 sem3 ended with a Dist & A grade. super happy to the max. lol

Final sem starts off with programming path.. disaster at the start? with all the codes coming back to you when u somehow dint touch it for close to 8months.. oh my..

Things starts to get better, picking up bits *& pieces along the way.. Till now, im already on the week 13 itself. Considered lucky that i havnt failed any test ? haha.

Semester proj dued on week 16/17, but i somehow just started doing ytd? hahaha. seriouslly must chionggg alr . As i already had very motivation to chiong for this sem.. My results aint good enough for UNI anyway.. currently having average of 2.98 only..

counting down to 25th feb alr, its like only 1month or so...hmmm, no matter what, just gonna pass all my modules this sem and PASS my DIPLOMA! :D

oh my, this is somehow the longest wordy post i ever typed in my blog i guess?

but this post is dedicated to myself! to keep a record in case i have STM in the future. hahas!

*i just realised i had alot of "i guess?" in this whole lengthy post. LOL!

Recently, i have been joining many many groups in facebook itself!

Looking at those group's name, it really brings a smile on my face :D

If i dint remember wrongly, the first grp i joined was ..

Not feeling well since sat!

fluu fluuuuu fluuuuuuuuu!

Wouldnt be worst if i didn't head down to REBEL with the peeps for some first-time clubbing experience for them. haha.

REBEL was not fun i supposed,sneezing non-stop, lousy music, weak systems ; no babes at all (according to edmund :x ),

saw quite a few aunties somemore..

Went over to LUNAR to rest awhile, sitting down listening to some real good singers out there! and great sound system as well..

And finally on Sunday night, starting to feel really uncomfortable. Whats worst then feeling unwell and having a presentation next day? ha.

Woke up in the early morning on Monday, sent bro to hbf , came back to change and headed off to school. After presentation, headed back home for some self-claim MC :D

Life consists of many if & else, but if one could forsee what are the full outcomes of every if or else. Life would be much smooth sailing.

For example, many likes to say

"IF ONLY [早知道] i know that this is gonna happen.."

If there is really so many 'ifs,

where does the 'else stands?

Things even gets more complicated when u get an if in an if.

In programming terms, its called "nested if" :D

an example:

Life would be dull~

Life would be full of hopes!

}

{

Stop thinking about what if!

}

Face the facts & reality in the positive way! :D

Im writing this post on the last day of year 2009.

365days ago, i wrote a post which i thanked my family, bros & friends for everything for the last day of 08.

Year 2009.

This year was quite a year for me i guess? Everything started off smoothly, things went well.. In fact it was all smooth sailing without much complaints. :D

Regrets? I had a few, but too few to mention.

'I've lost some, but gain alot.'

Given up on a r/s that i first thought would last, but still..

Gained much more views on life?

Had many new and great friends through a trip that would be never erased off my mind..

Those memories that we shared tgt! oh my, those days! :D

BITC batch 9 peeps, great butch of fools & idiots! but of cos the everlasting laughters we had.

remember those days whr we cared for each other liked we were one big family? I wouldnt mind a 2nd chance being under one roof with each of you guys again. :D

Woke up in the early hours like 9am ytd after recieving a sudden morning wake up call from XQ.

Drove dwn to dolp, play for a few hours.

Was injured in the first place and NOT SUPPOSED to be playing actually..

but then, the GIAN-ness came and thats it.

One more bruise for me, so in fact now im limping on both legs. :(

-Left ankle bone? (the swell is gone but the pain is like forever there.)

-Right knee cap. (bruise after a collision with someone. knee to knee, he fell straight on the floor and i went on to make a assist. wee! )

Recieved my first ever summon! DAMIT ttm!

Parked @ 1255pm, put 2hrs coupon @ 1.15pm, come out at abt 3.10pm.

Saw the freaking summon tio @ 1257pm. WTF! at some ahlakuku place somemore. zzz.!!

12.55pm : Tore the parking coupon timing, alighted the car.

12.57pm: (SUMMON AUNTIE) "wa, this boy ah.. now only 12.57, dare to put 1.15pm coupon! SUMMON!"

3.10pm: (by right the coupon ends at 3.15) ME: WTF!! tio SUMMON! !@$#!#^^$q@%!@#$!

The Mayonnaise Jar

When things in your life seem , almost too much to handle,

When 24 Hours in a day is not enough,

Remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee.

A professor stood before his philosophy class

And had some items in front of him.

When the class began, wordlessly,

He picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar

and proceeded to fill it with golf balls.

He then asked the students, if the jar was full.

They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured

them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly.

The pebbles rolled into the open Areas between the golf balls.

He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar.

Of course, the sand filled up everything else.

He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous 'yes.'

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively

filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

'Now,' said the professor, as the laughter subsided,

'I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things - family,

children, health, Friends, and Favorite passions –

Things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, Your life would still be full.

The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, house, and car.

The sand is everything else --The small stuff.

'If you put the sand into the jar first,' He continued,

'there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same goes for life.

If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff,

You will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So...

Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.

Play With your children.

Take time to get medical checkups.

Take your partner out to dinner.

There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.

'Take care of the golf balls first --

The things that really matter.

Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.'

One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented.

The professor smiled.

'I'm glad you asked'.

It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,

there's always room for a couple of cups of coffee with a friend.'

People do really change, by the fact that i wouldn't forsee that big change.

Shouldn't have know what happened, it held great impact on me.

Was deeply affected by it the whole day.. but after much thoughts, letting it go would be the best.

Not to think so much, as the story had already been written.

It wouldnt be this outcome if that decision wasnt made, but we really have to accept that there is no U-turns in life ..

I did not regret in that decision, hoping it goes same to the other.

Im not staying back for this little sense of guilt.

Mind is clear, heart had settled, move on. :D

Met up a situation where a chinese saying of..

Sometime some things/stuffs cant be force, its a nobody's fault situation i guess..

At least they tried, although showing negative results but hope it wont hurt their friendship!

DANGS. seems like many stuffs happened over lats week..

last week, i felt whats to be seperated over 2 lands of what u called friends.

Friends made over at a foreign land and departed from them months back thinking that you will never have a chance to meet again. But this chance came upon, they came back to NYP for a study tour trip for just that short 1 week.

Had lots of fun n laughter over the period esp during the singing rehearsals.. had a great performance tgt, singing live was great experience! :D

First time singing '朋友' with such feeling, so into the song itself. and esp after the speech of Ye Xiang, seriouslly that song makes me feel like crying. :'(

woke up @ 5am on last friday itself, went to fetch the rest and headed off to Changi Airport to send the BITC students off.. took lots of photo with them, Mr Dong is really a nice guy man. ha.

BITC mates were feeling very dwn as well as they are leaving the city alr. (photos are still yet to be uploaded by jackson.. argh)

esp Yi Fei & Ye Xiang whom have most connection with us, left the gate with their tears dropped on the land of Singapore. It was a very saddening scene, held back my feelings and pretended it was okay.. But in my heart, there was this pain would words wouldnt describe.

Seems like im nt blogging for days..

cos my life have been dull this 2 weeks?

or maybe only for the 2 high events of drinking nights, thats the only happening stuffs.

meeting up was the only stuffs that i recall and im glad we are still in that strong r/s. thx pals.

school have been alrights? projects coming in alr, so not u used to it.

anyway, things have changed, not the so naive stuffs that we used to do liao! dammm.

not having much high hopes for the results already actually, so just get over and then get my dip. :D
